* Flood Warning for...
rain and snowmelt in...
western Caribou County in southeastern Idaho...
north central Oneida County in southeastern Idaho...
Bannock County in southeastern Idaho...
Power County in southeastern Idaho...
Bingham County in southeastern Idaho...

* until 1215 PM MST Wednesday

* low land flooding is still on-going as reported by emergency
management and local law officials. Additional rain on snow and on
saturated ground as well as windy conditions will create
additional low land flooding this afternoon through the evening. A
cool down Wednesday through most of the weekend will aide to the
slow down of flooding, though it may take some time to see the
full effect.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
eastern Pocatello, Blackfoot, American Falls, McCammon, Lava Hot
Springs, Swanlake, Neeley, Goshen, American Falls Reservoir,
Shelley, Aberdeen, Inkom, Downey, Firth, Arimo, Rockland, rose,
Fort Hall Bannock creek Lodge, Pingree and cold water rest area.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All
interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.

Cassia County in southeastern Idaho...

* until noon MST Wednesday

* additional rain on snow at mid/high levels and rain on saturated
ground at low levels as well as windy conditions will create
additional low-lying flooding this afternoon through the evening.
A cool down Wednesday through most of the weekend will aide to the
slow down of flooding, though it may take some time to see the
full effect.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Burley, Heyburn, Malta, Oakley Reservoir, Lake Walcott, Oakley,
Declo, Albion, Elba, Almo, Yale rest area, Mt Harrison, City of
rocks, sweetzer Summit, Idahome, Bostetter Ranger station, Sublett
Reservoir, Interstate 84 and 86 Junction, bridge and Milner dam.

cross winds are possible from south and southwest winds. High
profile vehicles driving on east-west roads will have
difficult driving conditions.

* Winds... southwest winds to 35 mph with gusts to 50 mph this
afternoon and early evening.

* Locations... Burley, American Falls, Pocatello, Chubbuck, Fort
Hall reservation, Blackfoot, Idaho Falls, Idaho National labs,
Rexburg, ribgy, Mud Lake.

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 30 mph are expected. Gusts
over 45 mph are possible. Winds this strong can make driving

At 150 PM MST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 12
miles north of Juniper, or 20 miles east of Malta, moving east at 55
mph.

Half inch hail and wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible with this
storm.
